Citation Style Formatting

Our citation style formatting service may be for you. We offer two packages: basic and complete (scroll down for more details).
We check and format references on a regular basis so we are up-to-date with the most recent guidelines, such as for APA (6th and 7th editions), Chicago, MLA, Harvard, and Vancouver.
If you are following another citation style, in-house style guidelines, or journal guidelines, that is not a problem. Send us your guidelines and we will take care of the rest.
How we format citations
We use Microsoft Word’s track changes feature to edit your reference list, as well as the comments feature to clarify changes and highlight missing information. Using track changes provides you with the chance to check each individual insertion or deletion and accept or reject them.
Citation style formatting guidelines
To ensure we meet your requirements, we ask for all formatting guidelines or instructions to be submitted along with the document. This can be in PDF form or, for instance, a link to a publisher’s website.
Turnaround time
- Our standard turnaround time is 3 working days for reference lists containing up to 50 references. For up to 150 references, the turnaround time is 7 working days. Please note that is may vary during busy periods.
- We must receive documents by 12 noon CE(S)T in order for that day to be included in the turnaround time (weekends excluded).
- If you need to receive your formatted references sooner, we offer an express service (24 hours), for which there is an extra flat fee of €30.00 (incl. VAT).
Order confirmation and payment
Once we have received your order, we will review the document and send you an order confirmation, invoice, and estimated turnaround time. We ask for a 50% deposit to be paid prior to us starting work and the balance upon receipt of the formatted document.

Fact-checking: check all information provided in the reference list entries and correct errors identified where possible
Complete
€3.90/reference list entry

What you receive
Track changes version
This version of your document will include all the insertions and deletions made by the editors using the track changes function in Microsoft Word.
Clean version
In this version of your document, track changes will have been accepted, so you will only see the comments made by the editors.
Report
You will receive a brief report that outlines our changes, comments, and any missing information from your reference list.
